When we named Futora, we were thinking about much more than the technology we were building at the time.

We wanted a name that reflected where we believed financial technology could go. “Future” captured our belief in progress and reinvention. “Tora”, the Aramaic word for bull, brought in a connection to the history and optimism of financial markets.

Those details mattered to us because we wanted to build a company that would keep questioning what technology could make possible.

That thinking has stayed with us. And over the past few years, it has taken us in a direction that I am particularly excited about.

Artificial intelligence is now bringing us closer to a future we’ve been imagining for years.

And in just three days, we’ll be ready to share an important part of that journey.

Rethinking Our Relationship with Financial Technology

Financial technology has advanced enormously. Today, professionals have access to sophisticated systems capable of supporting increasingly complex financial products and processes.

Yet there is something about the way we interact with those systems that I believe deserves to be challenged.

Even with sophisticated financial technology, there is still room to make the way we interact with it more natural. What if professionals could express their investment ideas directly, without having to think about how the technology expects them to communicate?

Of course, structured products are complex. They require precision, and that will never change.

But why should using the technology that supports them be more complicated than it needs to be?

I have often thought about what would happen if we reversed that relationship. What if financial professionals could simply express what they wanted to achieve, using the terminology and knowledge they already have? What if technology could do more of the work of understanding their intent and helping them move forward?

To me, this is a far more interesting direction than simply making existing processes faster.

It is about changing the experience of working with financial technology altogether.

An Idea That Stayed with Us

More than two years ago, we began imagining what this could look like in practice.

We pictured a professional interacting with a structured products platform through a conversation: describing an investment idea, refining its terms, considering alternatives and working towards a quotation.

The idea was not simply to introduce another interface. It was to explore whether technology could become more intuitive, more responsive and more closely connected to the way financial professionals actually think and work.

Artificial intelligence has since opened up possibilities that bring us much closer to that vision.

But I think it is important to be clear about what we are trying to achieve.

We are not interested in AI simply because it is new or because it can automate a task. We are interested in what it could change for the people who use our technology every day.

A wealth manager should be able to spend more time understanding clients and finding suitable investment opportunities. An investment professional should have more time to explore ideas and make decisions. And the technology supporting them should help make that possible, rather than demand more of their attention.

The expertise should always belong to the professional. Our job is to make the technology a better partner to that expertise.

What started as an idea more than two years ago has gradually become something much bigger for all of us at Futora. Our team has been working to bring that vision into the technology we build, combining our experience in structured products with a belief that there must be a better way for professionals to work.

And now, we’re getting ready to share an important part of what we’ve created.

In Three Days, We’ll Reveal What’s Next for Futora

In three days, we’ll unveil an important new development in Futora’s AI journey.

It’s something our team has been working towards for a long time, and it brings us closer to the kind of experience we have always wanted to create for financial professionals.

I don’t believe any single development can represent the full extent of our ambition. There will always be more to learn, improve and build.

But I do believe some developments mark an important moment in a company’s journey.

For all of us at Futora, this is one of those moments.

In three days, we’ll show you what we’ve been building to bring part of that future to life.

We look forward to sharing it with you.
